Co-Founder & VP, Digital Products

Emery Wells is Co-Founder & VP, Digital Products at Frame.io. Emery has led the company to its 1M user mark, with media professionals and companies like VICE, BuzzFeed, and Facebook counted among its customers. The company won an Apple Design Award at Apple’s 2016 World Wide Developer Conference under his leadership.

A tech entrepreneur who has been involved in filmmaking, post-production, and computer graphics for over 17 years, prior to Frame.io, Emery founded Katabatic Digital, a boutique post-production facility in NYC that offered a wide range of digital services to television and advertising clients and participated in the creation of over 100 Digital Shorts for NBC’s iconic Saturday Night Live.

John Traver

Co-Founder & Creative Technologist

John Traver is Co-Founder and Creative Technologist at Frame.io, where he combines programming and development with creative ingenuity to bring innovative product experiences to market. John’s leadership drives the vision and direction for Frame.io’s product and feature development efforts.

Prior to Frame.io, John was Chief Scientist at boutique digital post-production house Katabatic Digital, where he and Emery Wells worked closely on all facets of video processing and post-production, which included pioneering 4K digital cinema services for the post-production market. He graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Motion Picture Science.
